Elfland – A Pathway To The Otherworlds?
Elfland or Faerie, home to the other world, not just elves and fairies, but elves, trolls and other folk beings, has an ambiguous look in folklore.
On the one hand, land often seems to be associated with “normal” land. Thomas the Rhymer could, if seized by the fairy queen, be taken on a path that is the way to heaven or hell.
